Catching up

Hi, Tonight will be a short post because… I’m just knackered. 😁 I’ve had a run of long days and today is my first day off since… quite possibly February. That does seem a bit too much of a gap, so managing to align work diaries with the Ever Lovely Mrs J, we’re having a long weekend. We decided to take it easy with opting for a walk in the local forest. There’s something about the quality of the light, being in nature, and not hearing the drone of cars, but of distant birdsong. All of that helps recharge the proverbial batteries. Mind you, so did the afternoon nap afterwards 😉 L x

Hi, I don’t know if it’s something we’ve learned, a habit, a biological quirk, or a mix of the previous, but I think I can safely say the Jones family are night owls. Obviously, not in a literal sense given our swooping and hooting skills are seriously under spec 😁 But, given a choice around waking up or being off work/school, and we gravitate towards longer evenings and shorter mornings. I’ve heard people say ‘oh, you miss the best part of the day’. For some that maybe true, but getting up with the lark is not my bag. Hi, Ah, the end of another week and an evening of promise as we slide into the weekend. Hello Friday, you wee minx. Last year the Ever Lovely Mrs J signed the Jones Crew up to a streaming service. I swing in and out when it comes to music. A long orbit that sees me move between the void of silence, to a deep dive through the variety of noise and sound that is modern and old. Hi, One of the things you have to do as blogger, is empty out the spam bin. The refuse and dregs. I’m hoping that the business is all a scam I mean, is there an office someplace in the sketchy part of town? Badly lit and wedged between a takeaway that lives in fear of a health visit, and an unknown shop hidden behind a graffitied cheap steel shutter. Hi, As I made breakfast I noticed that I seem to have caught the sun a little. I say a little. I’ve not been Goth White for a while, although tanned would certainly be pushing things. Perhaps the lunchtime doggo walks in the countryside have helped body and mind. Anyway, as I happened drop a teaspoon, I caught sight of my toes. They don’t usually see much sunlight, them being less that very pale was unusual. My next thought that popped into my head was a bright pink varnish would look ace.
