Measurements

Hi, Perhaps it’s hackneyed and obvious, while the sun sets, it must also rise in the morning. Perhaps it’s a good job that it does, otherwise the Earth would freeze and we’d all be dead. Great news for vampires, but probably a downer on the rest of us. Actually, who would vampires drink? Maybe it’s best the Earth keeps on spinning after all. Now, where was I? Earlier in the month I had visited a lingerie specialist who’s based up near Newark. Janice has visited us before the whole COVID19 fiasco and been very welcoming about supporting LGBTQ+ customers. I turned up in Richard mode, we had a quick chat in the showroom, and then it was off for a […]

Time and tide

Hi, I was going to start with ‘the funny thing about being genderfluid is…’ but I stopped as it felt like the warm up to a joke. I am now feeling a bit of pressure to say something amusing, but that’s unlikely to happen 🙂 A while ago, someone asked me what did being genderfluid felt like to me and the answer I gave was it was like the tide and a walk by the sea. It’s just a matter of time before the water rolls in and I start to feel that I’d like to express/appear/be the fancier version of who I am. As a midlander while I understand how the Moon affects the sea, the actual timings remain […]

See through

Hi, The other day I was talking with Susie – as much as you can in an email 🙂 – and the topic of being recognised came up. Not from a passing point of view, but on being seen for your other identity. Thinking on this later, I did wonder if I might be from the same planet as Clark Kent. I mean, we both have secret identities, an extra pair of knickers helps keep your tights up, and we’ve have had to get changed in inconvenient locales. 🙂 I don’t have his physique and the laser vision would certainly be handy for summer BBQs. All that aside, when I go through the process of getting changed, even though the […]

Some summer sparkle

Hi, Last night was an evening out to Chams and date I say, I rather enjoyed it. It was great to be out for an evening to catch up with friends. I’m going to leave the post about the employment tribunal news for another day. What I’ll say right now, is it’s not great news, but I think it may not be as bad as some make out. Shall we move on to resisting by existing? 😉 I loved my new top (Roman Originals, for a change), although while the new white jeans were not heading south (unlike the black pair they’ve replaced), I may need to take them in a bit. Ah, the joys of being a little bit […]

Clothes maketh the [insert identity here]

Hi, With the turn of the seasons, so it is time to put away trousers, long sleeved tops, and other warm clothing. No more zip up boots – my go-to shoe style in Richard mode – and on with the Berkies and shorts. With the change in clothing comes the thought of replacing old items and of late, I’ve started to think that I have a difficult relationship with clothes. Feel free to make your own jokes at this point. I would make a gag about I can take it, I’ve got broad shoulders, but then don’t most of us part timers? 😉 So my difficulty is partly down to the complexity of what I feel I should be wearing […]

Drifting

Hi, It’s a somewhat late post as I fell asleep on the sofa. That magical I’ll just have forty winks that turns into forty minutes. 🙂 As I nodded off, I found myself thinking on what might it be like to have had my nails done. Or, perhaps more accurately, what happens if, hypothetically, I started to drift into a more mixed appearance. To see my fingers a little fancier than they are now? Given its very much long trouser weather – and indeed occasionally thermals too – keeping my legs hair free has been a blessing. It’s not like I’m dressing at all or even undressing, but having my body appear as I feel it should makes a big […]
