The one before the big day

Hi, With us on the cusp of Christmas, I’d like to wish you all good luck during the festive break. Given the crazy times in which we find ourselves, I think we could all do with a day off from the merry-go-round. 🙂 I take hope you (and yours) remain safe and well, whatever you’re up to, and whoever you’re with. ❤️ I’d also like to express note of thanks to those of you who’ve visited and engaged with this little blog. With 2020 putting the brakes on so much, having a place to share thoughts and ideas has really helped, so thank you. On a blogging note, the time gain through not commuting means I have more creative energy […]

Our last one of the year

Hi, Chameleons had the last meeting of 2020 the other day. Back in 2019, I’d thought it was going to be a party evening with plenty of friends, nibbles, music, and memories. Then along came COVID19 😁 Ah, life, eh? You have to make the best of what you have. Our Xmas Do was more a friendly chat, but better something rather than nothing. Besides, I think friends can help make the everyday special. We have survived as a group. We’ve branched out into the online world a little more, with both forum traffic being up, and a few folk giving our eMeetings a spin in between the regular real world meet ups. Last night was a quiet affair given […]

Not quite the last post of the year

Hi, Given this is the last post I’ll make until after Christmas, I’d like to wish you all a fabulous festive break. Whatever you are up to, I hope it goes well. While I’m here, I’m going to say thanks for your comments and emails throughout the year. The insight, wit, and things you’ve shared have all been appreciated. It means that I get to read what you’re up to, and that means a lot to me. It seems a lot of us are all going forward in our own journeys, and I think that can only be a good thing. Indeed, for those of you who are blogging, please keep at it. Reading your thoughts and adventures are both […]

Christmas Wishes

Hi, Well, what a great night last night was. Somehow, it all came together, and we had a grand old time. There was much laughter, plenty of smiles, sharing food & drink, plus dancing, and, well, being there for each other. I had, perhaps somewhat pointlessly, been worrying about making the Chams Christmas Party just so. I don’t know if it was because it was our last meeting of the year, or if I just wanted our lovely lot to get a good night as all of themselves. A little more fancy than plain tables With a few internet orders and a dash into the local pound shop in town. I was fixed for tablecloths, e-candles, and plastic cutlery. After […]

The Year That Was

Hi, Welcome to the future, it’s 2016. Or, umm, welcome to the present day, or maybe even the past, if you’re reading this later than I posted it. Ah, perhaps more glorious speeches have been given, but this is a blog, not a rousing, morale boosting soliloquy from a horse. Maybe that’s what today’s leaders are missing, not using a horse in full battle armour. Certainly be more interesting than Death by Powerpoint. Ah, how my mind wanders…. 🙂 Family Christmas The observant amongst you, will notice I missed last week’s post. It was Christmas, so I think a gap here and there’s not too much to ask. I hope you had a good time, whatever you got up to. […]

There in the storm

Hi, I don’t know about you, but I find the run up to Christmas, can be a bit fraught. I suppose, it’s all about how much effort you put in. For me, there’s family stuff, work stuff and, of course, trans stuff. I would say it’s like juggling three balls, but that’s only setting myself up for some smutty giggling. 🙂 Little Miss had her school play this week and, bless her, it’s wiped her out. Four performances in three days and a slightly later than usual bedtime, do not a good rest make. Or, some of those words in slightly different order. I can’t work out if I’m channelling Yoda, or the great Mr Morecambe. American readers may wish […]
