Hi, If jealousy is the green-eyed monster, blue is sadness, and seeing red is anger, what colour is guilt? An off-white or sickly hue that pervades or hazes like a thin mist? This past week I’ve had occasional touches of guilt. Perhaps because work has been flexible around family commitments and I’m actually enjoying what I do, I’ve been feeling like I’m not working for a living. Or more accurately, I’m at work, getting things done, helping, and it’s not a slog. Plus, it’s not about me, but the small group of us pulling together to do what we can. Back and Forward

Hi, By all that is glamorous and fine, it’s been a busy week for Yours Truly. A fair bit of travel around Nottingham and a lot of presentations. Not about T stuff, which would have brought some welcome pennies into the Chams’ piggy bank, but work related. On the upside, it made the week go quickly, the team got lovely cool feedback, and it’s also Friday night. As I’ve blogged about previously, I find the magical promise of the weekend particularly strong on a Friday evening. Hi, As I walked along to the company car park with a colleague, I was listening as she explained how she’d cut back on her news consumption and also certain satirical programmes. This wasn’t through a lack of interest; no, more accurately, it was too much interest and the effect of the weight of the world upon her shoulders. The conversation ended as she headed to one end of the car park (with a cheery goodbye), and me to the other. Hi, Not just a new year but a decade as well. What will the next ten years bring? I’m hopeful for greater stability and compassion, but those in charge may feel and act differently. While doing things on a wide scale may feel beyond us, there are things we can do for ourselves. I’m not suggesting throwing caution to the wind, but I am saying with the new year’s energy behind you, taking steps to explore your gender identity can be done.
