Hi, Over the last few months, I’ve been listening to a podcast called Dice Will Roll. It features for people who are all somewhere in the LGBTQ+ mix and they are playing through a pen & paper roleplaying game called Pathfinder. I am really enjoying the fact that the setting has been unashamedly tweaked to be LGBTQ+ friendly and that really monkeys about the traditional fantasy setting…. and if I’m honest, some of the clichés that litter all genres. Dressing up as a bloke

Hi, A somewhat odd title given that in many ways, I’m a bloke. Well, at least physically. Socially, mostly yes, but in my head and my heart, it’s a little more complicated. If you’re reading this, either you’re very lost on the Internet, researching something, or you may have a similar situation. 🙂 Earlier in the week, I was involved in some formal doodah that required the wearing of a suit. Oh, not a Birthday Suit for those of you who’ve gone there and, frankly, shame on you. 😉 Glid comments aside, there is something about these outfits that make me feel rather uncomfortable. Hi, A work colleague said that their day was made better by small things. As I sat – sans webcam – listening, I smiled, as being at home I’d taken the opportunity to not just getting the washing on, but to slip into something more comfortable 🙂 The conversation moved on and when the remote meeting was done,I thought back to their comment. What are my little moments? Finding a small pocket of time in which I find I don’t have to be rushing. No need to be doing, going, or making. Instead, I can pause to watch the world go by. Hi, The issues around the bridge closure continue to cast a long shadow over this week. It’s been a funny old week because I’ve been both not at work and working. Mind you, for those us rocking two genders, that may not seem so odd 🙂 The choice between arriving an hour late and getting home two hours late every working day isn’t really a choice. It ain’t good for getting anything done, puts pressure on the Ever Lovely Mrs J (she picks the kids up in the afternoon), and I would be knackered. Hi, It’s been said that talking about the weather is not a good start. Let’s hope that that’s true if I mention the traffic too 🙂 Now, I’m used to queuing a little as I live out in the sticks and while Nottingham isn’t a huge city, it’s busy enough to draw a lot of people in. So it was that a number of small incidents came together to cause significant travel issues. Well, I say small matters, I think we can call the closure over the six-lane bridge over the Trent fairly major. Hi, If there’s one thing to be said about the Jones Household, it’s the slightly odd sense of humour we all share. I should add this is not in an unwoke, punching down kinda way, but more wry amusement at the failings of ourselves and that of modern life.
