Scene: Trellness

Hi, A guest post today from Su Pinder-Kup, a new wellness coach. Please keep in mind that SPK has a nonsense – sorry, no nonsense! – approach to exercise, that some readers may find a little frank. Just make sure little Frank is tucked away safely and do your best. Hello everyone and welcome to the new trans specific exercise class: Trellness. We were going to call it Troga, but that’s actually a thing, so for legal reasons, I’ve had to pick a new name. For the record, this is absolutely not a marketing tactic by myself. Rather than create a video showing my incredible physique and amazing poise, I’d thought I’d be kind and provide written instructions for you […]

Xmas Do 2023

Hi, For Yours Truly here, the festive break starts today. Due to child care needs, and having had fewer long holidays this year, I’ve got days off to be used up. So, that’s me done until the New Year. A very pleasant way to spend the last few weeks of December. I feel rather lucky in that. The Ever Lovely Mrs J is still going in as she’s got things to finish off. Likewise, Child 2.0 hasn’t finished this term yet. Only a few more sleeps to go, though! To use a modern phrase, it feels very much like a gift of time. Not just time away from the hamster wheel of the typical weekday, but with that, the freedom […]

Gratitude

Hi, So, how many sleeps until Christmas? I am looking forward to time off with my family and enjoying a break from the five day school/work/walk/tidy hamster wheel. Child 2.0 is currently embroiled in mock GCSEs, so he could really do with some rest, bless him. Headspace This week I had my first appointment with a counsellor through work. I put in the request around summer – when Things Were Not Quite Okay in the State of Lynmark (hello, classic Brit understatement 😁). There’s been quite a queue and given the mental health issues – exacerbated by a lack of funding to the NHS (apparently we have enough money to send 240mil to Rwanda, though 🙄) – well, you can […]

What you already have

Hi, One of those inbetweenie weeks this time around. Well, I guess you could argue that’s every week when you’re an somewhat in-between genderfluid person. 🙂 McTwitch Due to me not checking my prescription properly, I ran out of anti-anxiety meds at the start of the week. Oopsie! I quite enjoyed feeling like I had a little less brain fog and I wondered if I was okay to just gently drift through the Christmas holidays. While, thankfully, I didn’t have the biting return of the Panic Goblins, I very much had a spell via McTwitch, as my flight drive kicked in, while I was fixing the printer. Yeah, so no great shakes – no pun intended – and a gentle […]

Unhurried

Hi, Today has been a gift of unhurried time. No back to back meetings, no traffic troubles, and nowhere to be. Nowhere except a long walk through a glorious Autumn day with the Ever Lovely Mrs J and the hounds. Well, nowhere except for stopping off for an early lunch midway 😉 This is how a good day off rolls. Oh, and the afternoon Forty Winks wasn’t half had either! 😌 Slack Friday Despite the email surge of offers and app pings attempting temptation, I am oddly unmoved to buy anything this time around. I’m not sure if this is a good or bad thing, the me In years previous, I would have searching for a new party dress or […]

A gentleman of senior years sits behind a modern desk in a beautiful vintage office. There’s a knock at the door. Sir Gregory Hutt-Morton: Yes? Two men enter the room wearing finely tailored dark suits. One has a briefcase and both are wearing bowler hats and vintage sunglasses. Sir Gregory Hutt-Morton: I’m sorry, gentlemen, but I gave strict instructions that I would not be attending not funding the Little Hampton Steampunk faire. Lord Darkwing, the Unseen Menace of Curs and Laggards: If I may pop my hat on the stand… Terror of Rulers, Twister of Words and Policy: Steady, I think we’ve be read…. Gregory: By Lady Margaret’s iron knickers, you two hellspawn! Lord Darkwing: Greetings, Sir If You Don’t […]
