Hi,
One of those inbetweenie weeks this time around. Well, I guess you could argue that’s every week when you’re an somewhat in-between genderfluid person. 🙂
McTwitch
Due to me not checking my prescription properly, I ran out of anti-anxiety meds at the start of the week. Oopsie! I quite enjoyed feeling like I had a little less brain fog and I wondered if I was okay to just gently drift through the Christmas holidays.
While, thankfully, I didn’t have the biting return of the Panic Goblins, I very much had a spell via McTwitch, as my flight drive kicked in, while I was fixing the printer. Yeah, so no great shakes – no pun intended – and a gentle reminder that a more tactical and guided withdraw might be a better plan in the new year.
I’m not quite sure why I use the term McTwitch. I think it’s a riff on a character name from Rent-a-ghost.
Given I’ve got my first appointment with a mental health professional this December, at least I can go in not feeling like a fraud. Keep taking the pills, Lynn… 🙂
Big Girl Pants
I finally got around to booking an appointment at a nearby waxing salon. I’ve been putting it off because…. well, in truth a mix of nerves around the unknown and me not wanting to make the staff uncomfortable in any way.
Yes, that’s double shot of anxiety related delaying with a chaser of good old fashioned Jones’ guilt! 😁
But, as much as it’s easy to keep my lower legs in check, the tipping point of feeling on the cusp of Wookie Mode, has wrestled the nerves and I’ve booked in for next Thursday.

Fingers crossed it all goes well. I guess it’s just the fear of the new, given I don’t know the staff yet or the venue.
Big girl pants on, Mrs! 🙂
Planning
As we’re now in December, I’ve bought a few things for the Ever Lovely Mrs J and the kids. Well, teens… no, Wee Man is twenty. Offspring? Progeny? Spawn?! 😁 Eesh. 🙄
We are, however, not spending much. Or, perhaps, more accurately, not purchasing much because A) there’s not much we actually need, and B) everything has shot up in price.
I think you can tell inflation has finally clicked in my head, as when I look at a Christmas dress, the 75 quid and up price tag makes me shrug and move on. It just seems a lot to spend for one evening and just on me. So, perhaps that explains the flurry of discount emails arriving, as vendors try to shift their stock before the turn of the new year.
So, it will either be a rewear or mixing separates to switch things up. Still, good to flex those creative thoughts and see what’s possible with what you already have.

PS: WordPress tells me it’s been four years since I joined, so I guess that marks the switch from Blogger to here. In the summer, YATGB moved to a new web hosting company – who are both lovely, inclusive, and a local business. Here’s to a few more years of twaddle, introspection, and a bloke in a dress. Well, a pretty dress at least 😉 Thanks for reading! 💜🏳️⚧️

If your mansion house needs haunting, just call Rentaghost.
We’ve got spooks and ghouls and freaks and fools at Rentaghost.
Hear the Phantom of the Opera sing a haunting melody.
Remember what you see is not a mystery but Rentaghost.
I just dropped by to sing that.
No, actually, I also wanted to wish you a successful time at the waxing parlour. I find beauty salons are totally fine with TGirls and men wanting treatment. After all, our money is as good as anybody’s.
Have a nice weekend.

It’s not the typical choice for carol singers, but it certainly raised a smile, Sue. I nearly put ‘lifted my spirits’ but we’re not on Radio Four 😉
I’m just glad Rent-a-ghost included government warnings that stopped us from identifying as ghosts and teleporting around erasing the living. 😜
Thanks for the well wishes. Fingers crossed it goes well. I think it’s just the nerves talking. The website and the owner stated they’re fine offering such services, so I just need to find my magical Big Girl Pants for the day.
