Hi, How’s things? Hopefully good and if not, moving that way soon. There’s another winter storm blowing at the mo, so please take care if you’re out and about. It’s been a full week so my battery is somewhat flat. Still, it’s the weekend, so a chance to rest and catch-up with a few activities. Zapped Talking of batteries – proverbial and technical – there was a slight caffeine related issue at last night’s Chams. Val was kind enough to make some hot drinks and what we both thought was decaffeinated coffee wasn’t. Hi, The end of the week and thank my lucky Big Girls pants, it’s Friday off as well. Get in! 💃 Blue Monday – no, not the song – is behind us and it’s the long, slow walk into Spring. Yes, we’ve still got the icy winds of Feb to go. That and March’s you put all your warm clothes away? Ha, you fool! but the nights do not seem quite so dark and the morning’s not quite so cold. Hi, Nearly a month off over the festive period and then a full five day week back at work? What could possibly go wrong! 😉 I think I have become rather comfortable with getting up for nine, having a leisurely stroll, late breakfast, and the all important afternoon nap. So yeah, energy levels are not great at the mo. Hi, Did you have a good New Year’s Eve? Well, as per our Christmas, it was a quiet one – and that’s just how we like it at Chez Jones. The Ever Lovely Mrs J was keen to point out that in her view, I’m the social one of the house, which – frankly – I find somewhat worrying 😉 In truth, it’s been quiet this week with plenty of time spent walking the dogs, enjoying a late breakfast at various cafes, afternoon naps, and then hobby time. Hello dear reader, Did you have a good festive break? I hope so. If not, I’ll cross my fingers for some good luck to come your way. Theme If I had to pick a word to describe 2024, I think it would be steady. Yes, there’s been a few ups and downs across the year, but it would be dull otherwise 🙂 On positive view, the Ever Lovely Mrs J’s health remains, well, steady – certainly no worse. While her conditions will not magically fix themselves, we had some good news a few months back, saying that one thing – and therefore one risk – was off the list. Counting down to Christmas

Hi, Hear that? That’s the ticking of the clock counting down to my last working day before the Xmas holidays. It feels quite the luxury to have a long Christmas break, and that’s down to building up unused leave during the year. Perhaps my New Year’s Resolution will be to keep an eye on using my leave and have more regular breaks. Still, a long break at Christmas? Top banana!
