Hi, So, no midweek post on Wednesday. In truth, I forgot what day it was and I think sometimes it’s good to take a break from the routine now and then. Oh, and a note of thanks to those of you who commented or emailed in. Is it Sunday morning or Saturday night? It’s certainly later that Friday night and the clockwork post. Tick tock. Friday came…. and went. A scene plays out in my head. I feel the sea of emotions rise and swell, rolling me, and I try to steady my course. It is dark and while I can feel the wind and the spray, proverbially speaking, the big waves, remain lost in the gloom of what might be. I will not go overboard and I will not drown. Hi, There are times when I come to write something, that it feels like driving in fog. A glimpse through the mist on what I was looking for, only for it to slip from view, appearing only when I stop looking. But, maybe it’s my age 😉 This weekend gone the Jones Crew had the pleasure of not just a day out, but a meal in a restaurant. I know, I almost say it in a hushed tone. 😁 A country pub miles from anywhere and while not a usual haunt, certainly a place we’ve enjoyed in the past. Catching up

Hi, Tonight will be a short post because… I’m just knackered. 😁 I’ve had a run of long days and today is my first day off since… quite possibly February. That does seem a bit too much of a gap, so managing to align work diaries with the Ever Lovely Mrs J, we’re having a long weekend. We decided to take it easy with opting for a walk in the local forest. There’s something about the quality of the light, being in nature, and not hearing the drone of cars, but of distant birdsong. All of that helps recharge the proverbial batteries. Mind you, so did the afternoon nap afterwards 😉 L x

Hi, I don’t know if it’s something we’ve learned, a habit, a biological quirk, or a mix of the previous, but I think I can safely say the Jones family are night owls. Obviously, not in a literal sense given our swooping and hooting skills are seriously under spec 😁 But, given a choice around waking up or being off work/school, and we gravitate towards longer evenings and shorter mornings. I’ve heard people say ‘oh, you miss the best part of the day’. For some that maybe true, but getting up with the lark is not my bag. Hi, Ah, the end of another week and an evening of promise as we slide into the weekend. Hello Friday, you wee minx. Last year the Ever Lovely Mrs J signed the Jones Crew up to a streaming service. I swing in and out when it comes to music. A long orbit that sees me move between the void of silence, to a deep dive through the variety of noise and sound that is modern and old.
