Group socials and fashion

Chams Last week’s Chameleons was pretty good. There was a quiz, which to be honest, was rather tricky. Still, better to be challenged than to breeze through it eh? 🙂 That’s it for the next two weeks or so for me. The group move down to Derby and the next Leicester gig isn’t until next month. On the plus side, it does mean I can kick back on Thursdays/Saturday and there’s no mad rush around the house to get dolled up… only to un-doll yourself at 11…. and on a school night too. Adults eh? 🙂 Roses I spoke with one of the Admins the other night who explained in great depth some of the issues the forum faces. It […]

Test Run

Unlike the Boomtown Rats, I don’t mind Mondays. Everyone goes out of the house like a bullet from a gun. Lazy so-and-so that I am, I lig about a bit, get up, have a shower, etc. A bath on an evening is lovely – especially to just lay in and soak your cares away – but a shower on a morning, is, well, a different type of good. Envigorating yet relaxing and you come out clean. What’s not to like? 🙂 Plus, I always seem to get a better shave in the shower. Must be the heat. Afterwards, I have some breakfast and think about leaving the house – Woah, now is it me or is this post turning into […]

Roses Finally, the mystery of denial to Rosesforum has been solved. After a couple of posts to the forum – via a very slow public proxy – Sarah W came to my rescue and suggested that I may have been blacklisted for surfing the forum too much…. and she was right. Social Calendar Next week sees Nottingham Chameleons at a new venue and I’m looking forward to going. On Saturday there’s another gig – so to speak – this time in Leicester. I’ll see what P. has anything planned. Of course, the downside with going out is that you have to plan what to wear! Still, it’s not like that’s a chore when you’re TG is it. You can while […]

Routing & Shopping

It’s been a good news / bad news kind of day today. Good News The good news is that I found some very nice tops in George @ Asda. Personally, I find Asda’s clothing a little hit and miss sometimes. Sometimes they have some really nice clothing in and other times there’s nothing that catches your eye. Today I got a new fitted shirt and a stretchy top. I tried a denim skirt on, but it just wasn’t me. I guess I’m too much of an office bird. 🙂 I also had a look at a new bra. It’s not that there’s anything wrong with what I’ve got now. I’ve just got the one – hey, it’s not like I […]

Killer Heels

Despite being a miserable old mare sometimes, I must confess to enjoying the xmas season so far. Sure, we’ve got a sh**load of wrapping to do, but on the plus side, P. and I have been to the works’ xmas do and have just about finished the christmas shopping. The xmas do was a blast. We both had a very nice time dancing the night away and the food and company was excellent. Sometimes I wonder if this is the best bit about xmas. Meeting up with people you’ve not seen for ages and sharing the good times. You can stick your high street queues and novelty markets. 🙂 Well, nearly… The xmas party season is the time for some […]

Coffee and toast and I’m back from the dead.

Yeh gads it’s cold in dear old Blighty. I’ve got my leggings (transtastic!) on under my jeans. Jeans are too cold to wear this time of year otherwise 🙂 Talking of jeans, how did folk managed to pull off the idea that skinny jeans are this season’s must have? I must say I’m quite confused. For *years* – and maybe that’s why – I’ve read/been told that bootleg cut trousers are more flatting for women. So… what’s being flogged like no tommorrow? Drainpipe jeans that you have to pour yourself into. What’s the line: “If you’re old enough to have worn them the first time around, you’re too old to can’t wear them again” 🙂 Weather-wise I’ve been spoilt recently […]
