Hi, Another week rolls by eh? 🙂 I had Friday and indeed this Wednesday off from blogging. Given the circumstances around our boy dog, the Ever Lovely Mrs J’s health, and indeed her Dad, sometimes, something’s gotta give. It’s funny. I talk on here – write? 🤔 – about putting your own oxygen mask on first, yet in the flurry and fluster of life, that advice is so easily forgotten. A note of thanks to both M and A who reminded me that there’s nothing to feel guilty of in doing that. Hi,, Earlier in the week and having saved up my pocket money especially, I thought I’d take a punt on buying another pair of shoes. I liked the look – good job, otherwise it would’ve been a daft purchase 🙂 – and felt confident, given a previous pair was both a lovely style and comfort. The latter two things are not often said about heels. Thanks to the luck of a day on my own, I was able to wear them for more than five minutes and I think, they will now be going back. Hi, A long time ago I used ride a motorbike to work. Due to a bti of bad luck, the bike engine packed up, so it was time to call the breakdown line. Cue a wait for the repair truck to turn up and while the operative did their best, not everything can be fixed by the roadside. I got a lift home in the truck as part of the service. As we trundled through the rushhour traffic, we were cut up by a car driver, the mechanic sighed gently. Hi, Earlier in the school holidays, some of the Jones family headed off to one of those forest high ropes courses. Ah, the things you do as a parent to keep your kids entertained eh? 😉 Luckily, or perhaps, unusually, the British weather was dry and not too hot. The issues I have with the above – climbing activities that is, not our children 0or the weather 😁 – is twofold. Firstly, I’m okay on a dog walk, but if the Zombie Apocalypse requires a lot of clambering about, I’ll be in trouble, being somewhat of a duffer. 😉 Secondly, I’m not good with heights. Hi, It’s been said that talking about the weather is not a good start. Let’s hope that that’s true if I mention the traffic too 🙂 Now, I’m used to queuing a little as I live out in the sticks and while Nottingham isn’t a huge city, it’s busy enough to draw a lot of people in. So it was that a number of small incidents came together to cause significant travel issues. Well, I say small matters, I think we can call the closure over the six-lane bridge over the Trent fairly major. Hi, If there’s one thing to be said about the Jones Household, it’s the slightly odd sense of humour we all share. I should add this is not in an unwoke, punching down kinda way, but more wry amusement at the failings of ourselves and that of modern life.
