The right type of funk

Hi folks, After the last week posts of grumbling and negativity, it feels rather good to be able to post something altogether more joyous. Oh, to be lost in the freedom of dance, with good* music and friends. To feel the rhythm and sway, strutt or swing as whimsy takes you. ( * A highly subjective term given the variety of peoples’ music tastes…. and lack of. 😉 ) I had *such* a good night out at Chameleons. We’d thrown our Autumn party and despite a fairly quiet turnout, all went well. Sadly a few key folk were on holiday, but you can’t have it all! But, there was food aplenty, dancing (well, for three of us!) and a quality […]

Asking for directions

Hi, First off, don’t panic. Everything is fine here. Well, unless something very bad has happened and I’m currently enjoying a sulphur and lava hot tub with Old Nick. Now, wouldn’t that be amusing for a smug-arsed atheist? 🙂 I bet the Devil has loads of synergistic management paradigms warmed up and ready. You thought it was pitchforks? Ha, idiot mortal! That’s *so* 12th century. Welcome… to the Management Farm. Take a desk, you’ll be needing it.  Got your clipboards and iPads ready? Good…. Oh, the Wi-Fi may drop out on you and do write quickly, because the ink tends to evaporate. Don’t worry… there will be a test later. Now, must dash! Catch you proles later!! I’ve outsourced the […]

Something old. Something new.

Hi, After some deliberation I decided to have another crack at ordering a new corset. Much as hot weather and shapewear go together like the British and not queuing, sometimes, it’s the only way. Well, other than watching my diet and following a regular exercise plan, but like that’s going to happen! 🙂 So, after last time’s debacle of a corset that fit like a sleeping bag, I ignored the vendor instructions and followed my heart. If of have said followed my gut, wouldn’t that have sounded more macho? Yeah, maybe, but we’re still taking about lingerie, so I’m now confused 🙂 I collected the item from the local Post Office and it dawned on me how easy Internet shopping […]

Fighting the fear

Hiya, “Hey, have you signed the leaving card for X?“ I’ll put ‘best wishes’ because putting ‘so long you useless shafter and good riddance’ isn’t very British 😉 Or so I wrote on social media, t’other day. X is another casualty from the team I didn’t join. About a year ago we had a consultant come in and merge two teams. After about six months he announced if we wanted to be in his team- let’s call them Team A – we’d need to apply and be interviewed. Alternatively, we could move straight into a new team under a different manager and it would be a different role. The new team felt, at the time, a bit of a step […]

Secrets, Sales and Stealth

Hi, Ah, hear that? That’s the sound of a long weekend and half-term starting. A whole week with no work! Just me, the Ever Lovely Mrs J and our two lovely nippers. Hopefully, we’ll manage an hour before the squabbling starts… and maybe the kids will manage that too 😉 Opportunities In a spot of bad luck, I managed to pick up a cold, but being less than your typical guy, it means I don’t qualify for man-flu, which is good 😉 Due to the sneezing and coughing, I was kipping downstairs on the sofa, so the Ever Lovely Mrs J – who gets up early for work – could get a good night’s kip. Anyhoo, with the weather warming […]

Learning curves

Hi, Just as the right wig helps break the Him Factor, so a good set of curves – up top, or at the sides and rear – can help too. Equally, for our trans-men out there, a good binder will no doubt, work wonders. After winding up the meeting last time, I got changed, while Val kept me company. For some reason, we got on to the subject of why we pick the size of boobs that we do. For me, mine was down to what I thought a typical size would be for a lady of my build. I’ve never really moved to full breastforms, although I know others swear by them. Instead, some medical tape (thank you Boots) […]
