“It’s a nice day for a white wedding”

Hi folks, Ooookay. Let’s hammer at the keys to pepper the white space with a series of letters. 🙂 I think it was around four-ish, that I commented on Facebook, that the Well of Blog Ideas was a little dry at that time. Which, then, was true. As often happens, unless I’ve got something up my proverbial sleeve, or some news to share, I do have to fall back to actually thinking about what I want to write about. Yes, shocking as it may seem, there is a plan to this ol’ blog. No, really. 🙂 Mawwiage Or so said Peter Cook’s character in The Princess Bride. This week saw the first round of voting in the UK on allowing […]

“I’m on my way from misery to happiness today”

Hi, Come on brain, wakey wakey, it’s time for another blog post. Ah, perhaps leaving this week’s post until so late in the day – and after a late night – was not such a good idea. Okay. Note to self: prepare before hitting the keyboard. Yes, I was out late last night. It was time for Chameleons, so it was off to the Centre to meet up with the great, the good and the gorgeous (luckily, most of my friends are all three). It was my first trans night out of the year and given that I’d missed the post Xmas do, it was good to catch up with folk. We chatted about how Christmas went, fun with in-laws […]

“I’m on a mission,
In the destination unknown…”

Hi folks, Earlier today I was pondering what to write about. I had thought about doing a version of Desert Island Discs, a favourite radio show of mine. Yes, you know my keenness with music, but truth by told, it is as much the story of the person behind the tracks that interests me. Well, some interviewees, I should add. Sportsfolk don’t interest me so much, so those episodes I tend to overlook. Perhaps it’s because I don’t look into their world so much. Maybe if I did, I’d take more of an interest. Anyhoo, that will have to wait for a little while as I consider a few tracks. T-Town Some weeks (Ed: months?) ago, I talked about the Our […]

“All of a sudden, I found myself in love with the world,
So there was only one thing that I could do…”

Hi, Today I have – in the words of Jessie’s Diets – been in a buoyant mood. I think that may be due to a few lucky happen stances, a good night and just life in general being good to me. Even the Friday morning meeting slog didn’t dampen my spirits. I must have been really annoying to work with today. 🙂 Lies, damn lies and statistics I’d like to say a big thank you for those of you who keep coming back, reading and commenting on this little blog of mine. Just this week the stats crept over the 100,000 mark, so thanks everyone. It’s very much appreciated. Chocolottery In terms of little fortunes coming my way, while Chez Jones has yet […]

“Two roads diverged in a yellow wood,
And sorry I could not travel both.”

Hello dear reader, Well, I have faffed and messed around this evening. Hoping that by the delay, I will be blessed with a visit from the Muse – from a classical sense, not the band – and something interesting would pop into life between my ears. That hasn’t happened. 🙂 I did toy with the idea of leaving today’s post until Saturday night, but I have a feeling that the same thing would happen again. I guess that’s how blogs wind down, not with a bang, but a whimper and all that. I should add that I’m not thinking of giving up just yet. When I do get my head around blogging, I do enjoy it. I’ve met some interesting […]

“Home boy,
Everybody needs a home.”

Hey all, Given the British obsession with the weather, I feel it would be remiss of me not to say ‘Phew, what a scortcher’. 🙂 So earlier in the month, it was rather nippy for May and it now seems that whatever Powers That Be seemed to have stored up the warmth and the sunshine for the last few days. Luckily for me, I’ve today off. I’m at home looking after Little Miss because Granny – who usually looks after LM (bless ’em both) – is on a much deserved holiday. With the weather being so nice, it’s been good to get out and stretch our collective legs. The dog seems to be enjoying it too, although when it gets too […]
