Hi, Over in the Chameleons milabox, we recently received an email from a media company, TellyJuice, about a short documentary they’d made. Usually, media requests are for people to appear in a production, or take part in some reality TV production. The better ones – the education, the sensitive, etc – I post on the forum. The other stuff, welcome to /dev/null/ (Ed: for non-nerds, Lynn means the bin. Hi, Being British it would be remiss of me not to mention the weather. 🙂 It has been unseasonably cold over the past few days, and this has resulted in Little Miss, Wee Man, and the Ever Lovely Mrs J being off for a few days at the end of the week. I had the good fortune to be at home at the same time, as I’d arranged to work from home. This was so I could wait in for a delivery, but by dumb luck, not one but two arrived. Hi, Over at the Chameleons web site, we have a forum so we can keep in touch, share ideas & tips, plus discuss things between meetings. Just recently Diane asked: Have you ever purged? Now for those who don’t know that bit of trans slang, a purge is – perhaps somewhat obviously – when you chuck everything. Not just a ruthless clearout, but anything and everything related to *ahem* crossing over is disposed of. While there are various reasons why someone might do this – guilt, shame, clean break, etc – I think the idea is to get rid of any temptation and make a clean start of it. Hi, There are times when Life seems to have you on an assault course. Barriers, tunnels, and cold, wet mud to slog through. We push on doing what we can, sometimes stopping for breath, sometimes to help someone along, or even to get help ourselves. It’s not so much aiming for the finish line, but clambering through until you reach easier ground. Mind you, any time you’re not crawling through the proverbial mud is a win in my book. 🙂 When my boss – who, BTW, is a thoroughly nice chap, BTW – showed me my remaining holiday leave, I dared to dream I may get a day out. Hi, This week has, at least, as I type, a mixed bag. Nothing wrong, just a few ups and downs. The Sting Me: just a different style. I’m sat in traffic just after the school run, add there’s a large Range Rover wanting to turn right. Do Range Rovers come in any size other than large? They’re like the opposite of the perfect shoe in that regard 😉 As the road clears and the driver sets off, her bob cut hair swings as she double checks the road. Hi, Due to a dreaded Health & Safety audit – apologies for any shock or distress, this may have caused UK readers – at the Chameleons venue, we had to dispose of an old stereo. I say old, it had a CD and possibly a tape deck. I guess it’s my age, because that feels quite fancy. 🙂 Hmm…. I’m now wondering how many years ago, the Jones family recycled by old stereo separates. It may well have been before Little Miss was born, and she’ll be 10 this year. So, while I was in town, I dropped said stereo system off at British Heart Foundation.
