Hi, As I was unloading the tumble drier earlier, three thoughts drifted into my noggin. Firstly, I’m hoping the T800 Eco Warrior won’t come for me, because it’s a heat pump based system, and there are more important environmental criminals worthy of their attention. Oh, and no AntiWokers, I don’t mean ‘terminating’. Perhaps a look into the post 1.5C world in 2070 might be enough to make them think….. not that I’ll be holding my breath for the tech-broligarchs to think any further than their fame, power, and money. Hi, How’s things? Hopefully good and if not, moving that way soon. There’s another winter storm blowing at the mo, so please take care if you’re out and about. It’s been a full week so my battery is somewhat flat. Still, it’s the weekend, so a chance to rest and catch-up with a few activities. Zapped Talking of batteries – proverbial and technical – there was a slight caffeine related issue at last night’s Chams. Val was kind enough to make some hot drinks and what we both thought was decaffeinated coffee wasn’t. Hi, The end of the week and thank my lucky Big Girls pants, it’s Friday off as well. Get in! 💃 Blue Monday – no, not the song – is behind us and it’s the long, slow walk into Spring. Yes, we’ve still got the icy winds of Feb to go. That and March’s you put all your warm clothes away? Ha, you fool! but the nights do not seem quite so dark and the morning’s not quite so cold. At the time of writing, a social media company has removed third party fact checking and are now allowing certain terminology to be used. For example, allowing people to say LGBTQ+ individuals are ‘mentally ill’ or similar. Hi, Nearly a month off over the festive period and then a full five day week back at work? What could possibly go wrong! 😉 I think I have become rather comfortable with getting up for nine, having a leisurely stroll, late breakfast, and the all important afternoon nap. Hi, Did you have a good New Year’s Eve? Well, as per our Christmas, it was a quiet one – and that’s just how we like it at Chez Jones. The Ever Lovely Mrs J was keen to point out that in her view, I’m the social one of the house, which – frankly – I find somewhat worrying 😉 In truth, it’s been quiet this week with plenty of time spent walking the dogs, enjoying a late breakfast at various cafes, afternoon naps, and then hobby time.
