Hi, With the change of the calendar it’s now LGBTQ+ History Month. I’m seeing emails and a few folk with workplace backdrops advertising their support around LGBTQ+ colleagues. IMO, this is a good thing. I am… slightly torn on writing this post. I should say that this is absolutely not to knock the hard work anyone puts in to help raise awareness and foster a more inclusive community. Given the year just gone and some of the vocal minorities who want to push trans folk…. well, out of sight frankly, I think the help is very much needed. The shadows of statues

Hi, In a small market town not so far away, there are plans to install a statue. Last year we saw a number of slave owner figures pulled down and cast aside. I must confess to a wry smile on seeing one being tipped into a river. The new statue is one of Margaret Thatcher and she – along with Sir Isaac Newton – certainly made their mark on history of the town. Mrs Thatcher was the first female prime minister, had multiple election victories, etc, and is also very divisive figure in the UK. Looking Back

Hi, With the ever decreasing temperature, snow, and rain, shall we take a moment to ignore the cold and chill in another sense? 🙂 In last week’s post I mentioned I’d had a look through the photo archives. It seems age and weight gain help soften one’s features, even if you lose eye shape definition 😉 Outfit 20 was a new top bought in the sales and in rather linng the coloured pattern. Hi, While I was looking through photos for another A Look Back post, I stumbled on a reference to my first visit to Chameleons. By all that’s fabulous, that’s 2006. Yikes. Two meetings a month, give or take, for the last umpteen years or so. I try not to look at the time in not in Lynn mode. Partly because I am a part timer, but mainly as I think if you look at the time you’re not doing whatever, it’s a less than positive outlook. Hi, Today has… not been a little difficult. Not for any great drama or suchlike. Indeed seeing Joe Biden and Kamala Harris be sworn in, is good news indeed. I wish them and their administration luck in turning things around for America. What it is, it the waters in my stress bucket are lapping at the top. Lots of little things that are adding up and in the usual state of affairs, I’d find a way to turn on the proverbial coping tap and destress. No sleet ’til lunchtime

Hi, It’s been a blustery few days here at Jones Towers and I’ve certainly been glad of thermals. Okay, you got me, I mean leggings. The main difference between men’s thermals and leggings seems to be a button fly and an extra five quid. 🙂 Those plus jeans and waterproofs for the lunchtime stroll. As a dog owner, you either take them for a walk, or put up with their mad twenty minutes and infrequent reminders (a winge) that they’ve not been out. 🙂 Not that I’d be without them as they’re great company while working from home.
