Hi, Rejoice, smile and praise, for it is half-term and that means a break from the red tape machine! Freedom for the Every Lovely Mrs J and myself. No more meetings, no more school run panic and hello to lie-ins, cuddles with the kids and lazy afternoons. Get in. The countdown to not giving a ***t – that’s hoot, BTW, Honestly! – has chimed and coincided with the opening of a bottle of beer and the snaffling of a very tasty tea. Hi, It was all a bit of a rush to get ready the other day. Not because I had a lot on, but… well, if you’re anything like me – and let’s hope not for you sake! 🙂 – there are days when I just can’t seem to get organised. Oddly, I had sorted everything out the night previous. Mainly because I have this feeling that if I added the what to wear factor into the getting out of the door equation, my tiny mind would collapse under the strain. Hi, Not a reference to the rather good Red Hot Chili Peppers, nor the shambolic pop mauling from All Stains – sorry, Saints. 😛 As I made my way to Chameleons last night, so I drove under the new bridge by Queen’s Medical Centre. It’s been a while coming and as I’ve sat in traffic on the way home, I’ve watched it be slowly assembled and now, it straddles the dual carriage way, ready to take the next phase of the tram from the city out to Clifton. Hello again dear reader, Compared to yesterday’s weather, which seems like a warm up for The End Times. today in dear old England, we’re blessed with a view of a beautiful blue sky. Well, Nottingham at least. Things to be cheerful about! Dare I say, all seems to be going fairly well at the moment; other than the Ever Lovely Mrs Jones being flat out with a rather nasty cold. With luck and a spot of rest, she should be okay for her graduation ceremony next week. Hello Dear Reader, So much to blog and yet so little planning. Let’s start at the beginning, shall we? Yup, I’ve hit that midway milestone that is 40 years. I was…. back in my late 30s, strangely concerned by this number. Which is, now I’m older, wiser (!) and in a different age bracket, unsure of what all the fuss was about. I still feel like I did in my 20s, although I’m a bit more sure of myself and there are a fair few more miles on the clock. Other than that, all is well.
