“No more stillness, more sunlight,
Everything’s gonna be alright”

Howdy folks, How’re things? Things have improved here on Planet Jones. The Big Project – so big it gets to have caps at the front of it – is settling down and therefore, I can relax a little. Various elements are dropping into place and the once impossible task, is looking more and more likely. Fingers crossed eh? 🙂 The Ever Lovely Mrs Jones is happier too – despite being ill again (bless her) – so really, nothing to complain about. Yay. Note to Fates: that’s not a reason to send me anything! 🙂 It’s only midweek as I write this and other than the above, I’ve two other reasons to be thankful. Firstly, Mrs. J and I ordered some […]

If dysfunction is a function,
Then i must be some kind of genius.

Hi all, It’s been one of those weeks this… umm… this week. Utter madness at work and I’ve upset the Ever Lovely Mrs Jones. Not a good five days looking back at it. 🙁 Work – stressful though it’s been – I can (mostly) handle and really, while I get paid to make things work, there is only so much you can do in a day. Some stuff just has to remain unfinished because there’s only so much cat herding you can do in a day. The Mrs Jones situation? I was sure I’d talked to her about a work project, but in the words of one the 20th century’s great thinkers: in all this excitement, I kind of lost […]

“My brain is not damaged,
But in need of some repair”

Hiya, All good? I hope so. I’m a bit tired at the mo, but hopefully a cup of hot tea and a sit down will fix that. Sometimes, it’s great to be British. No need of Redbull or Pro Plus, just a few quiet minutes and a hot beverage. 🙂 This week has been – dare I say it (Ed: dare! dare!) – fairly quiet. Quiet is not necessarily a bad thing. As a friend said, you get to take stock on what’s come before, to look back and enjoy the memories. I caught up with a few emails, messed about with Flickr and made a few changes on the group’s website. I also had a wade through some of […]

“The looking glass so shiny and new,
How quickly the glamor fades”

Hiya, How’s things with you? All good I hope. Dirty stop out that I am, I was out once again! That’s once a week for the last 3 weeks: I’m feeling rather spoilt. With all the fun and games of late, and to be honest, I was in two minds about going through the whole rigmarole of getting changed. With Little Miss dropped off at Granny’s house, I wasn’t far away from Chameleons, so off I went and got dressed up. The evening outfit was boots, sparkly cardy and the mini-skirt I got last month. Not my usual length, but I thought I’d give it a spin. 🙂 I’m glad I made the effort as the evening was one of […]

“It’s a crazy world but tonight’s the right situation,
Let it take you there,”

Hi folks! Two posts in a week? Gadzooks! 🙂 I nearly said ‘a double entry’, but that would just be wrong wouldn’t it. 😀 Tonight was very much a contrast to the previous evening. Both nippers are bathed and the bedtime routine is almost done. Wee Man is curled up with the Ever Lovely Mrs Jones watching some Saturday night TV. Little Miss has had her bottle, a bedtime story and, of course, a cuddle before being tucked into bed. Those of you with a strong aversion to kids may throw up now 🙂 All done? Let’s move on… 😀 Skip back 24 hours – or as they say on TV: previously on YATGB… 🙂 – it was a very […]

“I gotta feeling that tonight’s gonna be a good night…”

Hi folks, With apologies to the Blues Brothers: It’s 85 miles to Milton Keynes, we’ve got a full tank of gas, half a pack of mints, it’s dark and we’re wearing dresses. Hit it. 😀 Film quote damage aside – and what a film that is… Hell, I’m thinking about putting the packing to one side and starting up the DVD. Oh the dilemma! 🙂 *ahem* Where was I? Oh yes. It’ll be a scheduled post tonight as – with a little luck – I shall be winging my way along the M1 towards the Angel’s 10th Anniversary Bash. I sort of know where I’m going, although my map reading skills are not the best in the world. I think […]
