Hello one and all, So we’re the second week through the World Sports Day competitions. Team GB have done very well – or so I’ve heard via the news and chats with the Ever Lovely Mrs Jones. You know me and sport, walking is about my limit – maybe a bit of cycling – but watching it? Meh. Not that I’m not dead chuffed that our athletes have tried really hard. Anyways, with the sport being on and Wee Man’s new found enjoyment of computer games, I’ve been catching up on my reading. Hi, Cross out another week on the life calendar, I’m almost done. Well, done for the working week, not done for life – that would be a bit of a downer…. I mean, I’ve got a holiday booked later in the year. 😉 The start of the week was quiet as I was working from home. Part of that was to catch up with things I couldn’t do in the office. Simply too many distractions there and being at home, well, sometimes it’s just easier. Hiya, As I type it is unseasonably warm. Talk about a late summer! I’ve blogged about my enjoyment of the autumn months once before and much as the clear blue skies are nice, it is too hot for me. By the time it cools down, it’s pitch black. Still, the weather is at least calm, so no puddles to splash through or wind to blow your syrup in umpteen directions. Summertime for trans folk is a strange time. You would think it’s all floaty dresses, smooth pins and fancy wedges. What could be more transtastic than all that? Hmmm. Well, summertime is an odd time. It’s a time when The Urge – to use a highly technical term – just seems to fade away. It doesn’t go completely – hell, I still double take when walking past Dotty P’s summer collection – but it does seem to abate.
