Fuzzy illogic

Hi, Given the rising temperatures in Dear Old Blighty and working from home, it’s been a case of shorts for the last few months. Regular readers will know of my slight issue around fuzzy pins, but you have to do what you can to make the best of things. It seems that my legs have decided to become openly bi-gender. The outside of them have gone bald, whereas the inside step remain slightly fuzzed. It’s slightly perplexing and thinking back to summers of yesteryear, a process that started on its own. I had a look online. Really just in case of might it be something serious (thankfully not, although maybe I should cut down on plutonium tea 🙂) and a […]

See through

Hi, The other day I was talking with Susie – as much as you can in an email 🙂 – and the topic of being recognised came up. Not from a passing point of view, but on being seen for your other identity. Thinking on this later, I did wonder if I might be from the same planet as Clark Kent. I mean, we both have secret identities, an extra pair of knickers helps keep your tights up, and we’ve have had to get changed in inconvenient locales. 🙂 I don’t have his physique and the laser vision would certainly be handy for summer BBQs. All that aside, when I go through the process of getting changed, even though the […]

Small changes

Hi, Last night it was a Thursday night out to Chams and I found that I’d missed the routine. The latter not being run of the mill, but more a ritual in someway. One that leaves you feeling (and looking) different from before. It’s not quite the right metaphor, but on being able to dress as I do, it feels like the really good stretch. The one that leaves you feeling more awake and as if you’ve shaken off some tension you didn’t know you’d built up. One of the group has some transport issues and as their house isn’t massively out of the way, the evening started off differently, with me picking them up and having a chat on […]

Twinkles

Hi, Another week rolls by eh? 🙂 I had Friday and indeed this Wednesday off from blogging. Given the circumstances around our boy dog, the Ever Lovely Mrs J’s health, and indeed her Dad, sometimes, something’s gotta give. It’s funny. I talk on here – write? 🤔 – about putting your own oxygen mask on first, yet in the flurry and fluster of life, that advice is so easily forgotten. A note of thanks to both M and A who reminded me that there’s nothing to feel guilty of in doing that. The all important step back did help. ♥️ Funnily enough I found that I missed writing – if you can say blogging is writing. Well, at least a […]

Lessons Learned: Part XI – Avoid Purging

Hi, The other day, someone asked about how they could stop purging. Okay, so first off, from a Trans community point of view, purging is all about throwing all your your clothes, shoes, wigs, and makeup away. At least for Assigned Male at Birth folk, and I would guess there’s a similar process for Assigned Female at Birth people too It typically follows periods of very low self esteem and/or high levels of guilt. What do we have to be guilty about? Oh, you just need to listen to that negative voice in your head. The one that tells you are aren’t good enough, that you’re ugly, that you’re a fake, hideous, attention seeking, a perv, etc. I would wager […]
