Hello dear reader,
How’s things?
I had toyed with the idea of making each sentence shorter, due to the new tariffs. However, A) that would remind us of the news, and I’m of the mind that we come here to get away from the nonsense. Also, and perhaps as important, B) this would require some skill in maths, which I do not have 😉
Easter
Due to commitments on behalf of the Ever Lovely Mrs J, we won’t be heading off away this Easter. We will, however, be enjoying a staycation of a few days. I am absolutely hoping for some pleasant walks in the spring sunshine, hearing the birds in the trees, and seeing the bloom of nature as the season gets underway.
I may also have to get the mower going and it’s had a long sleep over winter. I am not very good at anything mechanical, so I’m somewhat nervous in case repairs are needed. Still, it’s only money…. or so I tell myself.
New to me
With the satisfaction of last Chams’ outfit choice, I’ve been looking over on Vinted to see if anything catches my eye. I did spot a very cute set of nude Clarks heels and they arrived midweek.
Typically my heel choice is a Mary Jane as they’re more comfortable and easier to walk in. But, in for a penny, as they say, and I’ll see how I get on.
I’ve also spotted a maxi dress I like the look of, and given the Vinted prices are close to charity shop rates, I don’t feel too guilty buying something. Plus, the seller is getting money and I think that’s a good thing.
Trans Day of Visibility
This… perhaps as per, one might say, passed me by again. Not in terms of forgetting or otherwise. But more my ability – or inability – to be out and visible.
Rightly or wrongly, I’m trying to focus on what I can do to help the community (mostly Chams stuff!) and be there for folk who need a hand.
All that said, Val and I were out & about last month. Plus some of the Chams folk were at a counter protest in the city recently. Maybe I need to focus on the long journey and help out where I can.
Now, what about you? Anything planned for the Easter break?
L x

Your outfit for the day out a month ago 😍🤩😍
It was great to see you at Chams too, even if I have failed atrociously to be active online since (but I have somehow managed to watch several 3+ hour video essays in that time).
I missed TDoV completely and, moreover, was only at work for part of it (and not a busy part). I suspect, as ever, that you do way more for the Community (mafia?) than most and certainly more than I.
I wish you well for a lovely staycation (the weather has been gorgeous).
How do you find – or make? – the time to watch those videos? Not judging, genuinely curious! I do not have the concentration to…. ooo! Squirrel! 🙂
Thank you for the kind words about the outfit. It was a good day out with a friend, so all rather special really. Likewise, seeing everyone on Thursday was excellent too.
As to TDoV, you’re out and you, so I think that really counts. As to the trans mafia: never a competition, always a team effort 🏳️⚧️🩷
Yes, very much looking forward to the staycation. Plenty to visit and do locally, and without the faff of packing. Not to mention the neurospicy twitchery in being in all unfamiliar place. Oh, and no gaming rig 🙂
I look forward to seeing the new cute heels in due course. And hope you have a nice quiet easter break with bluebells sprouting and bunnies hopping about.
Visibility is not so easy these days with one thing and another. If physical presence is required to fulfil TDOV then I too failed, but if actively supporting one another counts then there are a lot of us out there.
Have a nice weekend.
Sue x
You can save time by looking at last week’s outfit, squinting, and pretending the Mary Jane straps have gone 😉
Thank you for the well wishes. Not seen the bluebells yet, but the crocuses have certainly bloomed in the park. Oh, on a driving practice with Child 2.0, we were out in the sticks near the village, and a deer – a fawn, I think – ran out of the woods and over the run. What a joy to see wildlife so close.
Maybe with TDoV, we can only do what we can, try to support each other, and – I’m guilty of this – not look it as win/fail. Little victories where we can?
