Hi, How often have you heard or said the phrase “Ah, why do we bother eh?“. I ask this not out of judgement, but from curiosity. That and to lead into this chapter of Lessons Learned. 🙂 As a genderfluid person, I spend most of my life in bloke mode. What helps keep me okay, is enough time to express all of who I am. Hi, I don’t know about you, but in the raging heat of the European heatwave, the Muppet Show of UK politics, and the reveal of how much profit oil companies make in a day; there was only one question on my mind. What if the bloke in the loo next to me, used to be a woman? Hi, Ah, the slowly blinking cursor and white screen of a yet to be filled blog post. Hi, I’ve had just over a week off, having taken some leave with the Ever Lovely Mrs J prior to last weekend. The first two days were very good: a friend’s wedding with good company, and no dysphoria either. Then, we found out Mrs J had COVID19. Ah, bugger. Still, we had a good run of not catching it and said virus wasn’t from the wedding, but from Wee Man, bless him. The need for Pride

Hi, This year sees the fiftieth anniversary of Pride in the UK. I’ve listened and read to the interviews of those who were there. Bless them, what an amazingly brave thing to do back in the 70s as well. 🏳️‍🌈 Hearing from people who managed to gather their courage and go to a Pride event or gay venue for the first time, that was really moving. I also, felt a touch of guilt around Pride. What I mean is, I don’t go to the one in the city and represent Chameleons.
