Hi, Earlier in the school holidays, some of the Jones family headed off to one of those forest high ropes courses. Ah, the things you do as a parent to keep your kids entertained eh? 😉 Luckily, or perhaps, unusually, the British weather was dry and not too hot. The issues I have with the above – climbing activities that is, not our children 0or the weather 😁 – is twofold. Firstly, I’m okay on a dog walk, but if the Zombie Apocalypse requires a lot of clambering about, I’ll be in trouble, being somewhat of a duffer. 😉 Secondly, I’m not good with heights. Hi, I’m having a week off at the mo. No last minute commute from the kitchen to the laptop. Instead, a later hour and a leisurely breakfast with the Ever Lovely Mrs J. After that, perhaps a morning stroll with the hounds while the coffee kicks in. With things being as they are, this will be our second break and a staycation. We’re not far from the back to school week and both kids seem to be happy in their rooms. Gaming, watching YouTube, talking to their mates, and sometimes all three at the same time. Hi, Over on the Chameleons Forum, someone – Pat, I think – asked if any of us had been buying clothes during COVID19. Online or otherwise, but purchasing new threads, cosmetics, shoes, etc. It’s a tricky thing shopping, IMO. On the one hand, finding a bargain or an item that complements or updates an outfit is rather nice. Yesteryear’s skirt and shoes made stylish by a new top or mixing up a much loved tunic with different jeans. Whatever the item, if it works with you and feels good: that’s a win in my book. Hi, This week, the BBC will be running a new show called First Day. Or, more accurately, it’s a show on CBBC, their children’s channel and the drama is about a trans girl’s experiences at secondary school. In a thankfully increasing trend, the lead trans character isn’t played by a cis actor, but by Evie Macdonald, a openly trans actress. I am hopeful for this series for a couple of reasons. Firstly, it’s great to see the younger trans community represented: not just from an acting point of view, but because our stories matter. Hi, Last night’s online meeting went from When Shall We Three Meet Again to the Fab Four. Despite occasional WiFi snags and some interface issues, a group of us got together for an hour or so. While talking through a headset isn’t quite the same as meeting up, it helps, and the shared laughter raises the spirits. I should add that that’s not in a necromantic and/or demonic manner. Can an atheist be possessed? 🤔 Part of the conversation turned to writing, or more accurately blogging, if there’s a difference. Hi, So, midway through 2020, huh? How many shopping days until Christmas and when will Easter Eggs be available? 😛 As another month rolls by in a cycle of rinse and repeat home office malarkey. Shall we flick through the YATGB photo album? 🙂 In 19 that pretty top was a hand-me-down from the Ever Lovely Mrs J. I struggle a bit with picking a pattern, but the monochrome on this is something I love. I notice that jeans and leggings feature quite heavily this time of year.
