“Can’t you understand,
Oh, my little girl”

Hi folks,

How’s tricks?

It’s been a bit quiet on the blogging front this, my apologies for not replying to the comments some of you where kind enough to leave. I’ve got a good excuse tho – even better than “my dog ate my router” πŸ™‚

Earlier in the week we (the Jones crew) had a new arrival. Little Miss (no real names, it’s faker than stick on nails in here) joined the world. Mum and little one are all well. Wee Man seems to be coping with the change in household activities – bless him.

Little Miss is very cute (but then I would say that) and is currently asleep on my knee. It’s funny but when I look at her I wonder what the future holds. Lots of good things I hope.

Righto. I better go put a bottle on as she’s getting antsy. πŸ™‚

Take care,

[ Lyric: Depeche Mode’s Enjoy the Silence ]

  1. Hey honey, many many congratulations!!! And to Mrs Jones too πŸ™‚ Being a parent is a marvellous privilege (as you doubtless know already!)…

So welcome to the new addition! πŸ™‚

And good luck with the sleep!

    Jo x

  2. Jo > Thank you! It is rather fun – more so when it’s not 4am. πŸ˜‰

Stephanie > Thanks! I think you were paying attenion, I just hadn’t mentioned it previously… just in case.

  3. That 4AM stuff can get to you…that’s when I get home…

I am so happy for all of you, and especially that older brother is taking things well!

My grandaughter was the first girl born into our family since my little sister in ’59; now 6, along the way she’s gotten everything all those other missing girls should have from all concerned! (Not that her older and younger brothers fare badly!)

May the joy and happiness continue for 80 or so more years!

(And I’m very careful what I wish for…)

  4. Congratulations Lynn, another life brought into the world.

Don’t envy you the next few months worth of sleep deprivation though πŸ˜‰

But it will all be worth it, and in 17 years time she will want to borrow your car, and your makeup πŸ™‚

  5. Hi Lynn

Congratulations another little one to spoil at Christmas – hey it means you get to be santa for that little bit longer.

    Enjoy every precious moment.

take care of you and yours and hope to see you again sometime in the New Year

  6. It’s official then – official congrats. :))

See, I can keep my mouth shut, just. πŸ˜‰

It’s true about the car BTW, but she’ll only ask for the make-up if you tell her!

Enjoy, while they’re young – it goes too quickly. Very happy for you.

  7. Alan > Thanks! Grandchildren are Nature’s reward for not having your own kids sent away πŸ™‚ Wind them up, spoil them – then give them back! What’s not to like? πŸ™‚

Becky > Cheers, misses. LOL. You may have all this to look foward to! πŸ™‚ Has your Mum started looking longingly at baby clothes yet? πŸ˜€

Helena > Thank you… as to make-up she can get her own! It’s bad enough with Mrs Jones sealing my foundation or new shoes πŸ™‚

As to a car – I guess I better get one. I’ve always wanted a day-glo jungle print Smart πŸ™‚

Sandi > Thanks! It’ll be all good fun this Xmas. Wee Man will be starting school soon…. it (time) does go so quickly. Fingers crossed for the New Year eh? πŸ™‚

Rachel > LOL. Aye, it’s official πŸ™‚ So official thanks are in order I guess!

“Hey Mum. Look at this! Dad’s stashed all the posh brand make-up in the wardrobe.” πŸ˜€

  8. Penny > Heh. Xmas is never quiet in our house. It’s riot πŸ™‚ Maybe with the new arrival, folk might shut up a bit πŸ™‚ Thanks and I’ll pass on the ‘big up’ to Mrs Jones.

    Jessica > Thanks, Jess!

  9. You kept that one quiet, but I do understand why.
Nice One! and well done to all concerned.

How long till you take over buying all her clothes? I resisted for 4 months…

  10. Chrissy > Thanks – and long time no see. As to the the shopping – I’m going to have to hold back on that one.

    Must. Resiiiist. Cute. Outfit. πŸ˜‰

  11. Thanks for the kind wishes, Lori! She is a little bundle of joy – even at that 3am feed (bless her) – and we’re very happy. Little Miss’s first Christmas!
