Hi, A mix of lows and highs this week Heartache On the long queue back home, I’ll often listen to a podcast. I guess, that’s just the not-so-modern way to describe, a recording of a radio show. Except now, you don’t need to wait for the live show and tape it. 🙂 Oh, technology and your ceaseless steps to make our lives a little easier. Hi, The first week back after the holiday wasn’t so bad. At least I didn’t have back to back meetings, which makes a different. It’s funny, meetings. When I first started work, I wanted to be involved and found it frustrating that meetings would come and go, without any involvement. Now, I seem to be struggling to find gaps, in which to do the work I’m being asked about. Okay, I jest, but not by much. 🙂 I don’t mind meeting up, although I do like a purpose for it. Hi, A few weeks ago, at Chams, we had a young chap come to talk to the group, for his research project. He opened with a simple question: What can retailers do for trans people? The way we play these events, is we – okay, muggings, here 🙂 – makes a quick intro for the group, and then we set the researcher up, in a quiet spot. This allows people to pop over when they’ve got a mo, and it lets those who don’t want to be involved, be… ummm… well, not involved. Seems to be working for us. Hi, Last night was time for Chameleons, and while I’ve managed to remove all traces of my rather nice, silver nail polish. I’ve not done such a good job, shifting the bike oil. Luckily, I’m not a closet bicycle repairman, I’m not sure I could handle the stress. Hiding your overalls, making sure your fingers are free from oil and being able to walk by a tool rack, without looking wistful….. Okay, that’s enough with that silliness. 🙂 On Wednesday, I was both unpacking and repacking my night out bag. Hi, I had one of those heart-in-the-mouth panics the other day. Not from a Hannibal Lecter point of view, I should add. You know, when you’re having a takeaway pizza. You tip the delivery boy and he says “you’re all heart” and, well, things get out of hand. 🙂 No, not quite the trans panic either. You probably know the one. That cold jolt of fear than runs through your core. You’re just putting your lippy on and there’s a clunk of the front door shutting. Hiya, The white space that’s the Blogger interface has been open a good twenty minutes, and yet, other than right now, I’ve yet to put anything in. Not that I’ve writers block or anything, I’m either easily distracted, or a terrible procrastinator. (Ed: The Procrastinator. He’ll be back… possibly… or not. Maybe).
