Festivities

Wishing you all the best for the yuletide holidays, and hoping you have a good time, however you spend the holidays.

For some, Christmas may be stressful for various reasons, so please be kind to yourself. Just lean into things as best you can, and take it steady. It’s only a day 🩷

Oh, and if it does get a bit much; may I recommend a Christmas stroll? Just to help settle the tum – and the mind – after the festivities? Deep breaths, a gentle pace, and maybe enjoy the mindfulness of seeing what decorations folk have put up.

Take care,
Lynn

PS: Thanks to Child 2.0’s expert eye, the Christmas tree is looking beautiful 🎄

  1. Have a lovely, relaxing, tummy-filling weekend, Lynn. I hope Santa will bring you something pretty.

Best wishes, and thanks for another thought-provoking, entertaining year on YATGB.

  2. Merry Christmas, Lynn!

A quiet Christmas stroll sounds perfect. Mine will be the day after on lunch break. My rotation on the schedule, unfortunately. No one is hear, so a lunch walk sounds perfect.

    1. … and a happy New year! 🎶

A stroll out at lunch sounds good, Michelle. A chance to clear the cobwebs of work related nonsense and the chaff of email.

I had a wander to a nearby village and did a quick loop down some rather muddy public footpaths. Luckily, we’d all decided on wellies, so no wet socks.

    1. Sorry to hear you were a bit bored. Hopefully things will pick up in time.

We had a nice time at Chez Jones. Just the right amount of peopling, and then off to our respective caves to recharge the introvert batteries 😉

      1. I wasn’t a bit bored past tense. I’m still bored. Everything I like to do every week gets put on hold while we have this compulsory two/three week holiday. Bah.

Glad you had a nice time anyway 😉

      2. It is frustrating with everything you might do, comes to a halt. A bit like any 80s/90s BBC geek show when there was some celebrity national ball kicking competition 😜

Hopefully normal service will be resumed.

  3. Well, we survived. And I didn’t even get Whammed this year.
Happy New Year to all , and – if they are reading this – sundry.
    xx
    Susie
