Review – Tights

Hi,

A few weeks ago the Ever Lovely Mrs J mentioned a firm to me called Snag Tights. They are very much not a ‘one size fits all’ company. Instead, they offer a variety of sizes for the long, the short, and the tall – as someone once sang. Intrigued, I thought I’d have a look at their site, and maybe invest.

Now, official disclaimer time: I don’t work for the company and I’m not getting any freebies for posting this review. My aim here is for you lovely readers to avoid wasting your pennies on badly fitting tights. We’ve been there, right? Too tight, rough, long in the wrong places, short in others. Sometimes you carefully slip them on and – skrrrt – you put your finger straight through a new pair. That or you work them up, only to find you’ve another two inches of leg and no more material.

Left to right: vanilla, caramel, and liquorice

The above three are from the sheers & skin tone ranges and while they gave good coverage, they didn’t feel too grantastic, if that makes sense. 🙂 I am loving the caramel ones at the mo!

The prices were reasonable (seven quid a pair) and there’s a deal on to save 10% if you order three pairs. Postage wasn’t too bad and my delivery took about four days or so. In terms of packaging, it was a simple reinforced brown paper wrapper with no fancy logos on them. As far as I know, they don’t do a ‘deliver to this shop’ option, but maybe if enough people ask, you never know.

Fit-wise, the tights were pretty long and I did worry that they might be a bit too long. But, no, they were spot on and perhaps the tagline of tights that fit wasn’t far off the mark. 🙂 The feel of them was good too: not rough like some supermarket bought ones. The waistband was high enough, didn’t cut me in half, and neither did it ride down.

In terms of sizing, please check the web site and work out which is best for you. Oh, and while they’re a UK company, they do ship to the US and Europe too, so readers from overseas, if you do decide to give them a go, please share.

Take care,
Lynn

  1. Hi Lynn,

I have been using the site uktights.com They have an amazingly wide range of different brands, styles and sizes. Foe example, a search for longer leg tights gives 180 different products!

Snag tights certainly work for you, and they are good value, so I will try them.

    Best Wishes,
    Penny from Edinburgh.
